Here is presented the synthesis of semiconducting CdSe nanocristals (quantum dots) and the preparation of composites with the conjugated polymer P3MET (poly[3-(2-metoxyethoxy)-etoxymethyltiophene-2,5-diyl]) aiming their application in hybrid organic-inorganic solar cells. The CdSe QD has been prepared by coloidal synthesis, stabilized with pyridine as ligant and characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence, AFM and HRTEM. The diameter was thermally controlled and estimated as estimated as 2,5-2,6 nm by UV-Vis and HRTEM. Composites with the conjugated polymer P3MET having 37 and 50 % of QD (v/m) were prepared mixing the solutions with the pure components using probe ultrasound. The composite solutions and its thin films deposited by spin-coating were evaluated with respect its absorption and emission in order to verify charge transfer among the organic and inorganic entityes.
