A caracterização do espectro solar na superfície terrestre normalmente é efetuada através de espectrômetros de elevado custo e delicado manuseio. Este trabalho propõe uma nova metodologia para a caracterização do espectro solar que está baseada na medida da transmitância atmosférica em determinadas regiões do espectro visível e infravermelho por meio de um radiômetro espectral portátil e de baixo custo.
