THE USE OF SOLAR THERMAL ENERGY BY PETROBRAS

Abstract

The use of solar thermal energy in Petrobras, as well as other renewable sources, has as main objective to consolidate Petrobras as an energy company, expanding its borders beyond the universe of hydrocarbons and its derivatives and keeping it in line with environmental constraints future of the planet without losing focus on business. This approach aims to share with the public examples of applications of thermal solar systems that had allowed Petrobras to congregate in its results: economy in the consumption of other power plants, release of this energy for nobler applications, use of a clean energy and insurance and generation of carbon credits that allowed gather in their results: economy in consumption of other energy sources, energy release of applications for most noble, use of clean and safe energy and generation of carbon credits.
