MIRAMONTES MICRO PHOTOVOLTAIC COMMERCIAL PLANT
EXPANSION, MODIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

The micro photovoltaic plant Miramontes (PV plant Miramontes), located in Uberlândia city, Minas Gerais state, started operation in June 2013 with an installed power capacity of 3.29 kWp. In order to increase the share of photovoltaic generation concerning the total energy consumed in the commercial building respecting the available rooftop space and the maximum allowed power to be injected into the grid, the PV plant was expanded to 68.62 kWp in April 2015. This paper presents the results of simulations carried out by PVSyst© software version 6.25 and they are compared with actual generation data. Performance results of specific production before and after expansion, and the technical aspects related to the different PV arrays of the whole PV plant along with the layout defining process for the expansion, are also discussed.
