This work presents the wind resource assessment of two different localities, one at the coastal region of the Brazilian northern region, and other at the coastal region of the Brazilian northeastern region. The data are measured by meteorological stations, collected and analyzed with the support of specific computational tools. The results are presented on graphics and tables. The interest data presented by this paper are: mean wind speed, wind speed histogram, Weibull distributions and wind direction distributions, besides comparative analysis between four different wind turbine models, when estimative of electricity generated and capacity factor are presented for the mentioned localities. The measurement period is one year. The results show that, although both localities are located quite distant from each other, they present similar wind profiles, with the locality of the northern region presenting higher wind potential during the analyzed period.
