The performance calculation of a photovoltaic system is a complex study that involves many variables, most of them stochastic. This work uses the Sandia model as presented by the PV Performance Modeling Collaborative (PVPMC) to calculate the performance of systems with different inclinations, with sun tracker and with concentrated photovoltaics (CPV) technology. The simulation is done for 4 system topologies in 20 different cities, and the relative gain of each system in relation to the classic solution (silicon panels inclined in the latitude angle) is presented. From the data generated, it's concluded to exist correlation between gains of the systems utilizing sun tracker and the ratio of direct normal irradiation and global horizontal irradiation.
