Monitoring systems dedicated to the photovoltaic generation plants, in most cases, are not individual monitoring in each panel, hindering the rapid identification of any defective c component that is contributing to the reduction in the performance of the network installation. The task of identifying and solving problems without the aid of an appropriate monitoring system can be a time consuming, during which the generating plant will produce an amount of energy below the designed levels or completely off until the problem is fixed. Some commercial solutions with the ability to individually analyze each panel have a high relative cost, since which demand dedicated cabling that require physical adaptations on the environment for accommodating cables, adding costs to the technology. In this context, this article describes the development of a module for monitoring, in real time, the parameters indicative of the photovoltaic system production based on power line communication. This technology uses the capillarity of pre-existing power cables between PV panels and battery bank to exchange information. The results obtained in the experiment were considered satisfactory depending on the system performance and point to the feasibility of the application of PLC technology in monitoring and data acquisition in generation systems by renewable energy.
