The paper presents the analysis of the impact of power generation caused by misalignment between the physical structure of the tracker and the sun's rays. It was used as an object of study the Photovoltaic system of high concentration ( HCPV - High Concentrator Photovoltaics) installed by the Group for Alternative Energy Sources (FAE) in the Department of Nuclear Energy (DEN) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Through the measurements it was possible to quantify the decay of power generation in the system output due to the increase in deviation angle between the normal vector to the generator of the plan and the sun's rays. This document presents the main features of HCPV system used, the implemented methodology and a description of a pointing sensor that was developed the experiment.
