The growth and development of corn as well as your productivity by biophysical models, in which the gross photosynthesis is a function of solar radiation can be obtained. Given this predominance on the world stage, this culture is the target of several studies on yield potential through agrometeorological models. In this context, agrometeorological modeling is presented as a useful tool, enabling farmers and researchers monitoring the process of development of culture and the factors affecting their productivity. Therefore, the objective of the present study is estimate the yield potential of maize for different planting seasons using data from intercepted global solar irradiation (Hg) by the Muchow method. The model use as input daily global solar radiation to compute biomass. The meteorological and culture data from the experimental research in Vila São José region, Arapiraca-AL. Productivity data showed high linear correlation with the data of Hg, indicating an elevated setting with each other.
