Nanofluids, direct absorption, photothermal conversionAbstract
The work experimentally investigated the characteristics of silver nanoparticles in real conditions photothermal conversion. Nanofluids stable silver were obtained by high pressure homogenization of silver nanoparticles with distilled water and tests were conducted under direct sunlight. Various concentrations of nanoparticles in nanofluids were tested, seeking to verify the influence of this variable in the energy absorption process. The results show that silver nanoparticles have excellent photothermal conversion capacity at low concentrations and light intensity of solar radiation. The performance of the photothermal conversion in nanofluids showed better results in the first hour of experience. An increase in the nanofluid temperature with 0.065% concentration of nanoparticles larger than 100% compared to the temperature of the distilled water was recorded silver.
