Abstract

This paper addresses the importance of education and training in renewable energies, focusing on the example of the 'Qualifica Mais Energife' program implemented at the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Campus Itumbiara, through professional training in Photovoltaic Solar Energy. An analysis of the initiative and its results in the year 2022 is presented, highlighting the successful training of 97 qualified professionals in this specific field. The paper emphasizes the urgent need for similar educational programs as fundamental drivers for an effective transition towards cleaner and sustainable energy sources. The study contributes to understanding the effectiveness of these initiatives in preparing skilled professionals, essential for the continuous advancement in the renewable energy sector.
